Paper dictionaries are already being replaced by electronic counter parts.
However many question the usability of electronic dictionaries.
In order to look-up a word using an electronic dictionary, the user needs to type in the word. This takes time and disrupts the user’s reading flow.
DIXAU differs from other electronic dictionaries in the way it takes users’ inputs. It looks up definitions using pre-defined web dictionaries when the user just points and clicks on the word.
In the heart of DIXAU is an OCR technology (which recognizes words from pictures).
Since the user doesn’t have to take time to type in the word, it doesn’t disrupt the reading flow as much.
DIXAU can even look up names and places using Wikipedia. It even lets users hear the pronunciation of the word.
The user has to have a Desktop or a Laptop PC in order to use DIXAU, which can limit the usage..
However, it’s a recommended product if you are not slow at typing English.
The recognition rate is very high and the product itself is portable (smaller than a laptop mouse).
If you were annoyed that you had to type every word in order to look it up, how about changing your tool to DIXAU.
